WB, E series leak on the back of the can?

hey guys i just got a white bros, e series slip on, i just put it on today, and it has a leak around the top part on the rear of the can, where its riveted, im pretty sure there is not supposed to be a leak there, the owner before said he had repacked it recently. but i was thinking if i should use some red rtv silicone to seal up the leak? or should i do something else, or can i do anything else? thanks guys

anybody ever have this problem? im just about ready to use some silicone

Mine is pretty tight and leak-free. Are you talking the pipe side or disc side?
Is it leaking around the rivets?

its the pipe side right where the circle can meets the stainless steel, but i just siliconed it and its pretty leak free now

I think high temp silicone should be fine as long as you can still get it apart when it's time to repack.
