when i put my crank in the cases with the main bearings installed in the cases. the crank will move side to side in the cases when i push on one side of the crank and then on the other. Any on else have this problem? Do i have the right bearings?

Sounds like a worn journal on the stator side of the crank.

you mean on the crank or on the case?

You will have some side to side play in the piston rod. Is this what you mean?

NO the crank side to side in the cases. on the main bearings.

On the crank. It should be a tight, press fit on the stator side. If the crank just slides in and out of that bearing, then the journal on the crank is probably worn. It's pretty common on 250R cranks.
