Pros and cons of skid plates? need help

are they heavy? etc. i got a new ltr 450 and the bottoms getting pretty dinged up pretty quick and it bottoms out sometimes and i dont wanna tear it up so help me out guys

Get the TAG, it's lightweight and sturdy. It's made of a plastic material so it absorbs impacts also.
