haha I repowdercoated my frame and after one ride without a skid, the frame was bare on the bottom lol

The Tag Railer or Maier plastic skids are teh way to go.. light and dont rattle

I run Pro Armor skids on my KFX and they don't weigh hardly anything at all. Skid plates are well worth the investment.

Get the TAG. I have it and it's great. Comes in blue or black.

If your talking about a swing arm skid plate don't even waste you money i literary riped 6 of them of my bike riding just get a nasty rotor and sprocket..but the frame skid plate is defiantly worth it saved me from cracking my case a couple times.

tag are the way to go. you can find them on ebay new and used, I bought mine at Bay area power sports off of ebay brand new for 115.00 with shipping. well worth the money. lightweight super strong plastic, will not buckle under any conditions.

If you want one to just protect your engine get the Blingstar DC racer engine skid.

whats gonna be the advantage of the tag railer over just a motor skid plate?

advantage : your whole frame will be protected, NO BENDS BREAKS, SCRAPES OR GOUGES. NUFF SAID.

will mud and sand and stuff get caught up in it or will it just wash right out? ive never ran a skid plate just asking all the dumb questions

If your just trail riding its a must to have both belly and swing arm skids, rocks will grind your frame and rear suspention components up, swing arm a must have for trails !IMO and if you dont have a steering stabilizer is good too!those were the first things I bought when I got my quad.
