Its not that the 250r is cool, its that the 250r is a complete masterpiece compared to the blaster. I cant really say much about that 250r since the pics are pretty bad but from what i can see it looks to be very clean!!! Just to let you know though you are wasting way too much time!!! Go and buy yourself a carb have it sent overnite, install it and go make the trade!! You will not be dissapointed thats for sure.

it has 450r shocks,ac nerfs,renthal bars,duncan graphics...thats what i can make out,,,where could i get a carb?????

I think you may be missing what we are trying to say here. Just in case you are un clear on it,


GET THE 250R !


Find a carb on e-bay or get one from a dealer. If you have a carb and it is just not running right, it just needs to be cleaned. Probably has trash or a touch of water in it. It would take about 30 minutes to clean the carb and put back on. I have seen to many people go get a new carb and all it needed was to be cleaned.

Or see if he will go ahead and do the trade and tell him you will get a carb comming now.

Yes it is 20 years old but if it wasn't for all the tree huggers it would still be dominating, and yes pros would still be racing them. Don't let the age get to you alot of these hybrids being built are based around the 250r. Parts are still around

Parts are still around well i live in ireland and all the racers here race yamaha 450 trash.. i realy want this 250r but im having trouble getting a carb and i woulnt go cleaning a carb eighter because im 14 and i could mess it up...

Man you would be crazy to not trade for the R. Honestly if i was you and you had a bit of spare cash laying around. Offer the guy your blaster, plus the cost of a new carb if itll help get the deal done. Im sure he would want the blaster running but Id want to get the deal done asap before he backs out.

cleaning a carb is pretty simple take your time and get some carb cleaner, if your planning on buying a new one anyways whats the point of not trying to fix yours now?

just take it apart take pictures n write down where all the pieces go there are not that many in a normal carb on an atv.

it probably just has gunk in the bottom bowl which takes 4 screws to get to.

dont be afraid if your going to replace it anyways noone learns without trying.

carbs can be had at yamaha dealers, and james lucky has alot of blaster parts. many salvage yards should have blaster carbs

banshee carbs are the same thing. you have to use a left side to retain the choke though.

hurry up and trade for that. or im coming to the homeland and getting it my self
