alright, ive got $100 to spend on tires. i was looking at the Kenda Dominator tires for $40 a peace. are these good mx tires???? how do they compare to the holeshot mx tires? the reason im getting to tires is because the stock tires grip to much and i cant stop soing wheelies out of turns. thanks for any help

tires can easily have to much grip, i cant even slide into turns. my friend had the same problem with his 400ex until he got dominators. and ill be doing trail and mx riding, mostly mx.

I have standard Holeshots and they work just fine for MX and Trails.

Stock Raptor tires grip like drag slicks! They were one of the first changes I did to my Raptor. I'm using Maxxis Razr's on mine. They still grip well and slide like a Mo Fo. They also seem to be wearing good as well.

I suggest turf tamers..........I have tamers & holshots, and I prefer the tamers 100% more than the holeshots. The razrs do well also, but they are quite stiff.

I hear ya, those stockers dont slide well at all. The Bandits that are on mine are pretty good. They slide well and have acceptable grip in the straights. Pricey, but they last a very long time.

I think my stock 400ex tires have too much grip too, donuts in fields are impossible, i get half way around and then it will bog out and wheelie. I think I'm goin with Maxis Razrs for my next set of tires.

Hey 4punk, just curious as to why you like the turf tamers over the holeshots.

tamers offer just the right amount of predictable slide...............the last thing I want is a suprise at full pitch. The holeshots seem to act like a radial in a slide. They sometimes hook up & sometimes don't. The tamers also get better forward traction which became ever so clear while I was hill climbing one day. That day the holeshots left me spinning on a steep hill. I went home & mounted the tamers on the quadracer.................I hit the same hill with the tamers & walked up in like I was on flat ground. I put the holeshots back on the quadracer in an attempt to wear them out so I can justify throwing them in the trash.
