Anybody make nerfs w/heel guards? Or maybe just the heel guards themselves. Can't seem to find any. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Burgard is the only one I know that makes them right now. Most you see, someone has modified a 450R heel guards or some other bike's heel guards. Try a search on this there is a lot of discussions on heel guards.

EDIT: that may not be true anymore, I just checked their website and didn't see them.

I don't remember what post it was, but I saw a guy on here not to long ago that put the Tusk heal guards from Rocky Mountain on his. They were for a 450R and I think all he did was bend the tab on the left one to mount onto the same bolt as the upper chain roller. Not sure what he did on the other side. I am sure it would not be hard to make something work.

I think I may get a set of them and just weld up a braket of some sort to make them work on mine. They do not look bad and I think they are only like 70 or 80 bucks for a set.

I might do the same thing. Like you said i'm sure you could make it work somehow.

Ya theres a few people that have used the 450R ones and made them work, and from what ive read it was not to difficult.

FYI Walsh makes pegs similar to the IMS ones but they look like they are 86-87 style mounts.

Glad I can help, let us know how it works out. As with any R parts on the web, nothing is for sure until you call and ask if they still make them.

I'm still looking for the heel guard hook up. I've got the tusk
on now, but they have cracked and welded up two times.
