Hey guys,
I know the 04-05 450r's are known to tank due to rod bearing and/or crank bearing failure. If I were to have one of these two occur, what am I looking at to fix it? I am comming up with about $500 worth of parts to replace to crank, piston/rings, etc.? then plus labor of course. Anyone have some more accurate numbers?
thanks, Joe

$500 sounds about right if the motor were to go while idling.....if it when as you were WFO, kiss both of your cases goodbye so add another 500-600 for them. and all the ohter bearings. Also, you usually change the oil cooler when the bearing goes because of all of the metel filings.

Might want to throw a cylinder on that list too...
