A set just sold on ebay. Best bet is to Call Roll design. They need as many calls as possible to make it happen.

When did you call? I called a week ago and they said, they are looking into it and need to know the demand is there - but more than likely they'll start again.

Lucky I have 3 sets.

I just got off the phone with Jim from Dreamers Fab Works. I saw a ad in quad magazine for these nasty looking footpegs so i called and left a message to see if they make them for the 250r and he called me back and said they are in the works. He said there all drawn up on cadkey they just have to get the molds or something so I told him alot of people are looking for aftermarket pegs for there R's and how there so hard to find and he said after hearing that he was going to go ahead and start moving things a little quicker since he knew there is a demand for them. He sounded like a really nice guy I guess he even has a 250r himself. So if anyones interested give him a call at 1-630-482-2322. He's taking names and numbers and he'll call you when they are ready. He said a ballpark price would be $150-$160. His website is http://www.dreamersfabworks.com

I have talked to Doug Roll 2 days ago and he said he was going to have a meeting with the co. that produces the pegs for him this week. He said he may not make a huge supply so the price may be $20-30 more than normal. So.... Take it for what it is.

Those V spikes are pretty nasty indeed.

Id actually see more companies making nice nerfs, maybe some with heal gaurds than just pegs.

Also walsh has pegs for the 86-87 Rs for $200 listed on their site, as far as if they are really available, you would have to call.

How do you tell the difference between the 86-86 pegs and the 88-89 pegs? I have a set but I don't have the mounts for them.

86/87 use a plate mount with two bolt holes, 88-89 are like a clevis with two fingers that sandwhich a a tab on the frame.

I just called dreamers fab and spoke to a lady about a set of pegs for the 1986 TRX 250r and she did say Jim was looking at pursuing to build these pegs.
But in a nut shell these pegs may not be as pretty as the roll design pegs but we need to start calling this shop to see if he will make his pegs for our 250's this is almost a slam dunk she said he was looking into it. Again we need to call Jim as much as we can so he can see there is a market for our 250r and also this may be our last shot at anyone making any kind of pegs for us.
Do we think roll is going to bring his pegs back I am not a believer that he will but I also know I need a set of pegs and we don't have a variety of vendors or companies that can help.
I only ride at Glamis and these oem pegs bend I can only imagine the severe use that oem pegs are put on at mx tracks and trail riding so lets be wise and call Jim maybe he will be the last chance for pegs for 250r"s.

I had stock peg plates with roll design pegs. The pegs were plenty strong enough, I kept bending the peg plates, now this is on a 86 atc250r. The peg plates are very similar to the trx plates. Something to get rid of the stock peg plates on 86/87 is a huge step forward. I have a set of 88/89 pegs, they look like they are weak. I have a 88/89 roll peg and its much nicer. I'd try the walsh trx250r pegs, they sell them for 86/87 and 88/89. If they are anything like typical walsh stuff, they are plenty strong enough. You also might want to check out www.hreatv.com, he sells pegs he can fit to almost any atv. He does some nice stuff, I crashed on a frame he built for me, bent the grab bar straight up, bent forks, bent front axle, bent tripple clamps. The frame is perfectly straight.

I had a set of walsh pegs on my old R. They were very nice. Chromoly bottoms with removeable stainless steel pegs.
