dont run that. it is oxygenated and you probably do not no how to jet it for that use something made for the ground

yeah its also low lead(100LL) and from what i have heard the lead isn't good for the high strung motors we have

You have to put oil in any gasoline you use in your 250r.

Also, 100LL (basically the only aviation gasoline around) is not oxygenated.

I run leaded race fuel, Lead acts as a lubricant for the motor

310,

Only aircrafts I know of that are 2 stroke, are the small ultra lites that are powered by a Rotax twin cylinder engine. May be others but thats all I know of.

Most any aircraft engine will be 4 stroke & if there is any amount of oil in the av gas, it will be a small amount just to help the valves out some.
Av gas has none of the chemicals in it like our pump gas has for cars & trucks, its not needed in those types of aircraft engines & when you use it in a car or truck, its realy hard on the heads. Bad for the valves, seats & valve guides, so think about that if you decide to use any.

If leaded gas is bad for 2 strokes  what did we use years ago when all gas was leaded.
If I could find some leaded gas I didnt have to pay a arm & leg for, you can rest assured I would buy some.

Neil, isn't vp 110 leaded, or are talking running in a vehicle ? and what about lead additives.

Well from looking around i found that 100LL actually containes a maximum of 2 grams of lead per US gallon, while vp110 containes 4.23 per gallon.

But in av gas like 100LL, lead is added to help valve seats, and to protect them against wear, a downside of the lead in aircraft fuels is buildup can cause spark plug fouling.

THis said and after only about 10 min of looking around is that since we don't have valves, leaded fuel will cause more problems than non leaded fuels. I also asked my father, Owner of his own fuel buisness, and he told me that i would be better off staying away from the leaded stuff.

Although if your running a high performance 4 stroke this maybe a good thing.

so this is what i've found, but i didn't dig too hard.
ill try to look a little harder when i get time

i believe 'CAM2' is the most readily available high octane fuel. it is a sunoco product and many stations carry it.

this link may help.

I use to run AV gas and i stopped because i was told that it makes the bike run hotter then pump gas or race fuel. It is good right when you start riding but then it just runs hotter then the rest of the fuels.

Thanks,
Mike

My jetting was too inconsistent when running AV fuel!
Went back to a 50/50 mix of 112 and 93 and the jetting is dead nuts! All the time!
