Help on AC Propegs on 07 400ex

I just bought a nice used set of AC propeg nerfs without heelguards off a member on this site. Seller said they were off a 400ex but when I tried to bolt them up the front tubing was hitting the oil tank and I couldnt even get the front bolts that hold the nerf onto the motor mount close to fitting. Am I doing something wrong, does it sound like it is a 450r nerf or will they fit some years and not others? I tried doing a search but came up with nothing. Any help is much appreciated.

Here's a couple pics of my 05 with AC nerfs, no propegs. The slip-in bar goes through the frame under the oil line to the tank.

Another. On the rear I had to drill holes through the stock pegs and bolt through them.

Hope it helps. Looks like the bolt tabs in the front of mine are more vertical than yours though.

BTW, my buddy has the same bars on his 03, and they mount the same way.

hckyplaya301, yours look different though, like they may be longer and angle back more from the front. Mine are straighter at the front. Maybe the slip part goes forward of the oil tank, and still mounts on the tabs at the same bolts?

Thanks guys...yeah the mounts are more slanted back than both of your setups and I did try putting the slip mount forward of the oil tank but the front tires hit the nerfs while turned so it doesn't go that way. I'll try to get some better pics tomorrow so you can see what isn't working. Any other opinions? Thanks.

Get rid of that trash and buy some pro armors. Or buy 450r raths and modify them to fit your 400ex.

or just buy 400ex raths????, but ya they deff look like a different front mounting setup, i think he sent you the wrong ones...

They look like they're for a 250R. The only AC Pro-pegs i've seen without integrated heel guards are for 250r's
