Need logo designed

I am looking into having decals made to put on the side of our enclosed trailer but I need some sort of logo made to send to the local graphic shop. I don't really have anything in mind as of yet and I'm pretty open to the design.

I would like to have our last name in it: Balaz

But i'm not sure whether to have...motorsports or racing or team. Anyone have any ideas as to what text to have and can somebody put together a rough design in photoshop or whatever program graphic shops use to load/edit/print? I would like to have something made and send it over to the shop to have them tweak it and print it.

It would be a side job kind of thing, she will be home in about a half hour, I will talk to her then and let you know what she says. For example, she did all the fire suits for Baldwin Racing Trophy truck drivers, Bubba Stewarts crew shirts.

$ is what it takes to get a good logo made. Most people don't want to spend a bunch of time designing something for someone they don't even know.

She will probably charge $20 an hour, take her an hour or 2. So probably 20-40 bucks to have a killer logo made.(designed)

Since you're a good sport...and I don't mind helping would you want them to say something different?

Also if you're looking at a LARGE logo kinda thing you would want a better hi-res picture to use. Otherwise you'll be all pixlated.

drop the team or drop the racing...or keep both. If you don't like it won't hurt my feelings, took maybe 2 minutes in photoshop.

I agree with the hi-res image thing. This logo will end up being 4-5ft wide by 2-3ft tall so...

I like "Balaz Racing" and leave the team off.

That's a good start though, I kind of like the arc's around the name.

I did some looking around and I have a few things that I'd like to have in my logo.

I'm bored, so I made another. The original copy is set for 6'X4'. I think its a clean look, I like it. Not sure if you wanted the typical "Racing" script or not.

Dude that looks really good, I like the font you used for "Racing" and the city/state looks really good too. The text for our last name is the only thing I don't care for. Can you do a 2 color on the arcs? Maybe a blue? Like yamaha blue? Or Honda red?

That sounds fine with me and that's what I mentioned in the email I wrote to her. If she creates a separate graphic for it, i'll have it printed separately and throw it near the bottom of the trailer so that it doesn't take away from the design of the logo. Sound fair enough?

Well we have a suzuki and a honda so I guess with colors...whatever just pick something that looks good in your opinion. For fonts, pick something fresh and clean.

Wow she does some excellent work. I love the first one. The only change requests I would have would be to take the yellow out of the B and the yellow outline that's on the word racing, make it white so it matches the outline on Balaz. And maybe, if it isn't too hard, play with Making Balaz front and center and have the word racing in that cursive font and smaller to the lower right of Balaz like some of the reference links I sent have it. If it looks like poop then scratch that idea. I really like it so far...let me know. Thank you!
