My Butt Hurts (Women and Children Look Away)

Seriously, I'm not kidding. My butt hurts after a long day of riding. It is like it is blistered from rubbing on the seat all day. :huh I ride pretty aggressively, shifting my weight around a lot, but by the end of the day I can barely sit down. No, its not hemorrhoids. I thought it was but its not.:rolleyes: I am wearing riding pants that are somewhat padded.

Any suggestions short of ratchet strapping a pillow to my butt?

Use baby powder or gold-bond ...ofcouse its relabeled as Monkey Butt powder...


Also walk and run, build up those glutes

Tweak the suspension for a better ride

Sonds like you have a case of Monkeybutt. We use Chafe Zone and monkeybutt shorts for that, the Chafe Zone works well for chafing and blisters.

I got a set of riding underoos from AVS, they were on clearance at RMATV.
They have padding in all the right spots, pretty sweet actually.......

From what I understand cycling shorts work well also.

I personally would rather have monkey butt than see myself in those.

Arm pump and MonkeyButt...The two down sides to our sport. Both of them are preventable.

Compression shorts under your pants....and make sure your pants don't have any pockets in the rear.

This reminds me of my first practice before my first race last summer, and I had the same problem, everyone thought it was hilarious except me haha. It doesn't happen anymore, it was just a one time thing and I haven't had any problems, knock on wood haha

I wear spandex/bicycling shorts under my riding pants. it is a ironbut trick. ironbut is an award/club you have to ride 1000 miles in a day.
