Unless you have alot of time on your hands for testing and tuning id suggest just spending the cash on a quality headpipe from a manufacturer. Id look into HMF, they make some nice stuff!

I'm guessing you want to go with a sleeper look. Just get a HRC and be done.

However, with your mods, and good full system would really open 'er up.

ya i love the sleeper look! but i am not adversed to getting a full exhaust either, would a full say "dasa" do better than just an HRC head pipe? and if so is there anyone that sells them for cheap? i am a poor college kid.

Just look around for a used system. I got my Curtis sparks system, cheap.

The other day I had a buddy selling a HRC header with a HMF slip-on all new for 250, so the deals are there, just be patient.

If your talented enough it can be done or bored enough as I was. I measured the inside of the can where the pipe inserts. That measurement is what you want the end of your pipe to be, I also checked that measurement againt the size of the end of the pipe, the end that inserts in the can. I split the difference and took the stock head pipe and cut it off 2" past the first bend. The other end I cut off I used as a bending template as I reproduced that same pipe only larger in size. Now the graduation in size was done in three steps and each upsize was welded into each other. I kept the welds on the outside as I over lapped each joint on the pipe and it helped to flow better. I went through a few headaches and headpipes to get it down to a science, but the outcome is all pride. Not for the novice to try, but you know if you got the will to do something it can be done. Tools and friends help too, alot of them!!!!
