This must have been a 9mm because he is still walking. This is exactly why you should not trust a small caliber to protect you, and this is a small guy! I have a S&W40 and feel confident whatever it hits "if need be" will not be moving and for sure if hit twice with it.

Also these guys are idiots! why would he let him do this? Why would he aim near his heart and lungs?

a 9mm will go threw a vest it has more penatration then bigger calibers

i should of wored that differently.no i dont care the the 9 much my self i have a .45 for that reason but if you look up the balistics the 9mm has more penatration then a .45 such. also how many people do you know with a 50 cal and why is it when people no completely nothing about guns always bring up the 50 cal? yes its a good gun for one thing and thats it and even having a 50cal you couldnt afford to shoot it nor would you have a place that you could safely shoot it:rolleyes:

I would agree it has more penetration because it is smaller. What is easier to push threw fabric, a needle or a pencil? I would still prefer a larger caliber. Rapper 50cent was shot 9 times with a 9mm and is still around to rap about it. I am sure this had something to do with luck on his part and a bad shot on the other side. However my point remains valid the bigger the bullet is, the more that it is going to disturb on its way threw. I am by no means a gun expert but the 9mm having more penetration power just seems to make sense. Not because it has more power but because it has less mass to push threw an object. I am curious to see if any one can say for sure if this is true.

i look at it this way, and i'm not saying i'm correct, but the larger caliber is spreading its load over a larger area when it hits the vest which in my mind according to physics unless the speed difference between the 9mm and the larger caliber is more then i think that the 9mm will get through most objects better then larger caliber except for those that require the weight of the larger load

WRONG! It has to do with what grain you are shooting. You can get a .40 s&w to hit harder than a .45 or faster than a 9mm. It all depends on the grain of bullet. Be more informed.

i said most its a smaller bullet the only reason it has more penatration is because it has less weight to carry. i myself have a .45 my brother has a 9mm i wouldnt belive it either if he didnt show me the balistics. when he gets home ill have him get on here and explain. im not saying you guys are wrong. i dont have any real experience with the .40 my uncle has one and loves it. i was going to get one but i chose the .45 due to the fact i have more experience with them

Nothing wrong with a .45 at all. Great, great gun, but i like having 16 in the clip and 1 in the pipe... besides it hits like a .45, holds as many as a 9mm. BEST OF BOTH WORLDS!

Arguing aside. From the distance idiot a shot idiot b, Most any bullet would penetrate outside a .22 short. If you watch closely the bullet missed the plate and unfortunately missed the knuckleheads heart. but, in my Professional opinion that is a bullet hole in his chest.
