What Piston??

Well its time to tear down the 05 and put in a piston and cam. I've decided on the Hotcam 2 but not sure on a piston. I'm only going with the 11.1-11.5 so I can stay with pump gas. So I'm looking for some ideas for a piston, let me know what you got...The quad is setup for all XC.

You could go all the way to 12:1 or even 12.5:1 on pump gas. I am a big fan of cp pisons personally.

cp piston for sure. thats what i use, have had very good results.

If your lookin to go up to 12.5:1 look into DRG built by CP. I have the 15:1 piston and lasted over a year with that build.

I thought the highest I could go was 11.5 before I had to mix 50/50 race gas? I wanted to go with the Hotcam 2 but I didnt want to lose any bottom, thats why I want to go higher with the compression. So if I can go with a 12.1 and still use pump gas I'm all for it. Where can I get a CP piston and how much are they?

Yup you can do 12.5:1 with most cams on premium pump gas.
I run a CP 12:1 with a +3 stroker crank so I'm at about 12.5:1.

A lot of sites/shops carry CP pistons, just google around. They range from $150 to $200 depending on site.

definitely go with the cp piston..... they are top notch!!!!!!!!! very lightweight and quick revving!!
