What exactly does re-valving a shock do?
Front:
If I get a pair of 450r shocks for trail riding, to make them soft will I need to re-spring AND re-valve them? or will just re-springing (or just re-valving) them work fine on the trails? If so, which one is better?
Rear:
For trail riding will I need to re-spring these or re-valve these? Both? Re-valving is like $75 and re-springing is a crap-load more...
Now... Will re-valved/re-sprung 450r shocks even compare to elkas or other aftermarket shocks?
Any input will be greatly appreciated.
A big thanks to you all from a suspension newbie :D
