Hey guys just picked up an 07 ltr, recently had a 04 yfz that was nothing but trouble, I have a few simple questions for you guys.

The idle adjustment just isnt where its supose to be. I read the manual and its not where it shows the picture of it, where did it go?

Does the fuel valve screw have to be turned all the way "on"? When i got the bike it wasnt 100% turned to the open position.

The steering stem has play left and right and the flag moves up and down like the washer is in the wrong place, does it belong on top or bottom of the flag? This bike was put back to stock so maybe the washer is in the wrong place.

thanks in advance.

the idle screw is right behind the fuel pump. its a big brass screw. yes the fuel screw should be 100% open. not sure about stem need better info

well i took care of all of the issues, all except for the idle, I do not see a brass screw on or near the fuel pump like the manual says, maybe I'm just retarted... if possible can somebody post a picture of it. Thanks in advance.

By the way--- not sure if this has anything to do with it but the bike idles fine when the choke is on(at high rpms) but the second u flip the choke off it dies. I did re-route the throttle cable and adjust it because it was revving up when the bars were turned... is the cable supose to have a little bit of play in it like carbed quads? Or does it have to be adjusted perfectly in order to let this FI engine idle right?

UPDATE: All problems fixed ecept the idle...

it will not idle without the choke on, the second u shut the choke off it dies... I did some searching and removed the cherry bomb and it fixed it for 2 minutes it was idling PERFECT, except when u stabbed the gas there would be a bog like the yfz's have... and now it randomly went back to not idling with or without the cherry bomb. Just wanted to see what you guys think before I go ordering parts. And yes the battery cables are tight and you can hear the fuel pump priming. It is also hard to start so I was thinking it would be the fuel filter since I hear they go bad all the time but I dont know all the symptoms, so let me know what you think.. - thanks. I am near chicago if anybody could look at it for me.

oh well, its a 07 got it for $3,100 Its at the dealer right now, I could care less if I have to spend a few hundred to fix it, I got this thing cheap. Plus it has low hours on it. Its probly something stupid like the fuel gummed up somewhere or the spark plug is bad because it sat for 7 months before I bought it.

it does sound like fule regulator.. (spicket looking thing on bottom of teh gas tank) I have went through several of them. the fuel filter will be noticed when you jump mainly (if its bad). It will cut out just before you land
