86 trx 250r clutch quiestion

i have a 86 250r that i just took a part and did a rebuild on ...this is also my first time to a rebuild on a 250r engine looking out of the book .....when installing the clutch lifter rod does the ball go in before the lifter rod or ste on top of the lifter rod....and then set clutch lifter on top of steal ball....and if that is correct is the clutch lifter suppost to be flush?...thanks alot if you have any details or pics that can help me out that would be greatly appreciated

The order of assembly should be as follows:

1. lifting rod
2. steel ball
3. clutch lifter

I suggest you leave the ball inside the lifter when installing.
