got a 2002 honda ex it was starting to clatter at high rpms the other day while riding it just made a noise and quit now it won't start and whem u try to start it like it is blowing air out the air box when you try pulling it it makes a hammering noise around the exhaust please help im new to the ex thanks

Drop a valve? Pull the top of the head and check everything out in there.

yes it is you would have to have a valve job most likely and maybe a new piston and rings

most likely a valve or the timeing is off a little bit... take the head off and check the valves... its not that hard of a job to do if your valve seats are in good condition you might get lucky and just have to put new valves in it... which is easy. just be sure to replace any gasket you take off with a new one
