well i sold my quad to buy a dirtbike. but i want to get a 450 or not get anything. i want a car to. id rather have a car but i have all of this brandnew gear sitting next to me that i bought last year and only used like 4 or times. idk what to do. im only 17 and i really want a car. what would you guys do? also if any of you guys are lookin for gear ill give you a hell of a deal....

depends on how much money you have and if you have a job, i would take out a loan for one thing and then completely pay for the other with the cash you have, just my two cents

Sounds like your mind is made up already. At your age , a vehicle is a lot more practical than a dirtbike. Priorities .... the toys will come with time.

I would get a car or truck first... There will be 450's 400's and the like by the truck loads... They will always be available....

Get a decent 250 2 stroke for like 1300 bucks and a car/truck. You get the best of both worlds. I bet you can get both for under 3k. 2 strokes are alot more fun.

when i was 17 i sold my fully built pro-level yfz450 and bought a nice 2000 silverado,22in rims, nice system, and a 02 rm125
i eventually sold the rm125 and had nothing to ride for about a year... and finally picked up a 04 kx125 a couple months ago.
still dont have a quad and it drives me crazy everyday.
now im 18 and have a 06 silverado and have been throwing around the idea of selling that to buy a cheaper truck and a quad.
i love having a nice truck... but i can always get another one where i cant get back this past almost 2 years that i should have been racing but im not cuz all my money is wrapped up into my truck

im 17, i sold my quad for a truck. had a pitbike as well and kept that and now thats all i do.

get the car, trust me its really nice to be able to go do what you want without harassing people for a ride

Buy a vehicle that will get you from point a to point b!

When I was 17 I had a 1992 Toyota 4x4 extended cab truck, and I had my 450r.

I thought I wanted a nice truck... So I ended up doing some trading, traded the Toyota plus 7 grand boot for my 2000 Powerstroke that I just sold in January. I decided I wanted a 2005 f-250 powerstroke, so I found one. Auto, crew cab, power everything. I bought it. Now that my 450r is blew up, I DONT HAVE THE MONEY TO FIX IT, because I have a truck payment, and insurance payment due every month. That doesn't include keeping fuel in the damn thing.

I know it's nice to drive a nice vehicle, but it's not worth it at this age.

I am seriously thinking about selling my DREAM truck, and getting another 92-94 Toyota.
