need some help !!! my R has a ESR 310 Cylinder running on pump gas <93> with a BR9ES NGK plug when it cold it want kick off...
i have a dyna fs preset CDI that it fire up with but it so hot on the top end it will cook the pistion it has already happened. what can i do to fix this problem because i want to run lights???
can someone help on this or give some idea?? ESR says they run the cr cdi and wires along with flywheel but you can hook light to that system.

keep the stock ignition for now. what are your jets i believe they need to be changed. i would also put the stock cdi back on. i have never liked those dyna's

all cdi and coil are all stock i am running the 38mm TMX from ESR with a 25 pilot jet 430 main and needle set to the center or third spot. it starts and runs fine if it is warm also have v-force 3 reeds
and k&n filter with alum. air box no lid

i have tried with and without want start with stock cdi cold
have to carry the dyna with me if we stop for a while to start ride
a bite put the stocker back in

maybe your stock cdi is bad.

i have a 87 88 89 cdi they all do the same thing ??? this is thrid coil i have....i was thinking about the Jansen Super Coil but i dont
know anything about them....and also the programable cdi from
Dyna are they any good??? other than the cold starting the bike runs like razy it has mad power all the way thru
