help please!!!

got a 2002400ex it it suppose to have a 12.5 piston and a bore kit to 416 it started makin a clattering at high rpm then ridin the other day it just quit and when i crank it over it hits every now and then but blowing a lot of air out the out the breather box when you pull it to start it it has loud hammering top of motor around the exhast any help would be great

sounds like you might have dropped a valve. time to tear it down

take it apart thats the only way to know for sure, prob a valve

if its a valve is that a big job

depends. if the valve bent in it couldve torn up the piston and the cylinder. or it could just be the valve. only way to know is to tear it up and look.

It could mean you just have to replace your valve, or it could have destroyed your whole motor, not to scare you

well you won't know until you tear into it and start counting pieces that have to be replaced. maybe only a few and maybe a whole crap load.
