Will stock 300ex shocks work with 400ex a-arms

Yes but your ride hight will be super low. The a arms will be almost completely horizantal

Best way is to get a shock relocator bracket and 400ex shocks.
A possible way would be the diamond j bracket. I think it can be mounted pointed down to make up for the shorter shocks.
I have a brand new diamond j bracket in my shed that I would sell for half price, assuming I can find it in the mess of a shed. It was never mounted.
