Front ball joint

On the stock a-arms, what's the best way to retighten the nut onto the joint stud without the whole thing spinning? It doesn't appear to have a flat spot to hold like on the tie-rods.....

i use a small pair of channel locks, i found a pair that is only about 5 inchs long. just push the boot up and they work great
