Cold Blooded 05 400ex??????

I HAVE A 05 400EX. BONE STOCK, STOCK EXHAUST AND HAVING A PROBLEM HAVING IT IDLE PROPERLY, KEEPS STALLING, SHOULD A PUT A BIGGER JET IN??????????

You could try putting in a one size larger pilot jet but I wouldn't think that to be necessary with a bone stock quad. What does the spark plug look like, try replacing it first if it's fouled.

OK IL TRY THAT FIRST. SEEMS EVEN WHEN ITS WARM IT LIKES TO STALL WHEN I PUT IT IN GEAR OR PUT IT IN REVERSE, I HOPE ITS JUST THE PLUG

I agree with nacs...Sounds like a fouled plug. Old fuel maybe???? Replace the plug and give it a try...I fouled a plug in my 08 and it ran like dog crap!

Before oyu replace the pilot jet, try adjusting the air/fuel screw.

Kind of an oddball but check the clamps on both sides of the carb. When I bought mine new, one of the clamps had a spacer in between where it tightens down so the carb was loose causing the same problems by having a air leak.

make sure it has a clean filter first, it may just not be getting enough air

i had the same problem on my 07, brough it back to the dealer and they had to replace the idle adjuster i think it was called
