crack case

I have a case that is cracked on the chain side of the motor. THat is not very big about 3 inches top to bottom. What should I do get it welded or replaced it. Jack where can i get the tap to support the cases. I knew that this was going to happen because my son love jumping the lt. :confused: :confused: :mad:

I'd weld it.

To support the cases, I use 1"x1/4" aluminum. 3 pieces.
1- 3-1/2" long
1- 2-1/2" long
1-6" long

The 3-1/2 piece gets bent to fit the cases where you broke yours. Looks sorta like \__/. LOL
The 2-1/2 piece gets welded across the rear of the housing above the top hole.
the 6" piece butts up against the 2-1/2 piece and runs up toward the front.
