I'm gonna polish my clutch and stator covers. What would be the easiest way to strip the paint off of the covers? i don't want to spend the time sanding, is there something i can put on them that will make the paint come off easier?

And a well ventilated area to do it. Aircraft stripper is the way to go.

Aircraft Stripper...Stuff works wonders, I worked at an Auto Body place over Christmas break and they used the stuff, all I could say about it is "Wow." This stuff is powerful, but make sure you wear gloves or wash your hands right after, it'll burn your skin. Also, don't breathe in the fumes of the stuff, I'm not sure, but it may cause instant death...j/k, its powerful stuff.

sand or glassbead blast them. Easy and very effective. Shines up nice after that and some real fine cloth like sandpaper.

I have seen it at auto parts places and home improvement centers as well. Its pretty common.
