I was putting in my jets today and I hit a snag, I put a 155 main in and a 42 pilot jet.
I ALSO TOOK MY CHOKE OFF, and plugged the hole for slide rod.
When I started it I was getting some smoke from the exhaust which I never got before so I am assuming I am rich so I went to adjust the air/fuel screw and adjust the idle down a bit so I could tell the difference, That is when I find a problem,
I can screw the throttle stop screw in ALL the way and it still doesnt touch the part that its supposed to, The throttle cable is tight for some reason, I took the tank back off and traced it to the handlebars and there is no kink in it. I tried to loosen it at the handlebars with no luck.
It operates the slide and stuff but it is not letting the throttle link arm touch the throttle stop screw. It idles too high and you can not turn the idle up or down?
What would make it tight like that?
