I am looking at buying a used honda 450r or a yzf 450 could someone tell me pros and caons of each

If your buying used, I would make the choice based apon which one you can find in better shape for a good price. Both are fairly reliable. As far as pro's and cons, you really gotta ride both of them and see which one you like better.
