Got a WB R4 pipe and silencer on my 400EX. The only 3 allen screws that I can un-screw are the 3 that remove the tip so you can install\remove the spark arresstor. The other remaining allen screws have bent metal inside the heads so you can't unscrew them. Why did WB make it so you can unscrew the allen screws? Got me.

To repack it just drill out the rivets at both ends of the silencer.

You mean drill out the small pieces of metal in the heads of the allen screws? Or drill out the whole screw? Also I seem to have blown apart thr screen spark arresstor have you had this problem?

are you sure your looking at allen screws, and not the heads of rivets?

got a picture?

The only allen screws are the three that take the end cap off, the rivets are on the body of the silencer just look at what holds the springs on and those are the rivets. I have not had a problem with the spark arrestor but it looks kinda cheap to me.

You are correct, them are rivets and not allen screws. If I was to drill out the rivets and repack the core do you just replace the rivets with new pop rivets??

ya just put new rivets in it.
