i would also like to see some of these. i had my chain too tight once and it ruined my cases.. at the dunes. it pissed me off. with a tensioner maybe you could run the chain looser and not haev it fall off.

Are you guys referring to a chain guide or an actual tensioner with arm, roller and spring setup?

im talkin about an actual spring and arm set up. it uses a roller that keeps it tight. i saw one on ebay. looked pretty cool

those were an old school device, I don't think many use them anymore. I'd like to hear from someone who uses them also.

I bought one of those chain tensioners that JL ATV sells from a friend and I ran it once didn't like is and instead just put new roller on the stock one instead. That tensioner broke my airbox since i do MX.. not worth the money in my opnion

those things are great for extended swingarm setups that hill shoot or drag race but imo not needed for regular length swingers. ideally if you have a rear chain guide and a good case saver. a tensioner shouldnt be needed.

I am talking about the one with the spring that mounts on your peg. I also saw one on this web site zrproducts.com check that one out looks pretty cool but for $80.00 bills not that cool. I ask because I want to avoid any future case mishaps yes checking the chain will avoid that but you know things happen.

i just LOOKED (http://ztrproducts.com/content/view/13/27/) at their tensioners. looks to be a quality made item.

80 bux sure is a better deal than replacing a case 1/2. ;)

yep. like wat happened to me....... i checked the chain before i went. like a week earlier. and the quad sat and rusted in the chain making it tighter. so when i went to ride. i jumped and the chain got to tight. and bam. it sucked bad. i have never seen one that mounts by the peg. care to show some pics of your find?
