Anyone on here a tractor mechanic, or have a good knowledge of tractors?

I can't find this anywhere...and need to know what the reduction is from the tires on the tractor(rear) and the transmission(to the flywheel)? We are basically building our own 8 speed transmission(gear ratios, etc)....but need the reduction to configure the ratios.

Also I know there is two different "drive lines"....like the transmission and the final drive....can someone explain what the final drive does, that the tranny can't?

Thanks!

Brad

haha and that was me trying to put it in the best words I could. Believe me, it is much more complicated than that. I'm a student engineer, and we are building a tractor on the computer....basically what the tractor goes through when its running.....the fuel adjustments, shift ratios, power/torque curves, turbo, etc.

....blows...lol
