hey i got some problems about the 5 time this bike **** the bed on me. I went to go start it and it would not start so i pop start it spurred for about a min them warmed up seemed ok but then i wont idle and keeps staling.....but it seems when its warm it will start ok the electric start. but it still seems to run ****y so i figured i cant hurt to clean the air filter when i took the seat off i found that there was about a 1/2 pint of motor oil not filter oil in the air box..so its been siting in my garage for about 2 months and now the warm weather is coming and i wanna ride but i dont know what to fix or whats wrong with it.....so anyone know whats going on there? :ermm:

its blown up and the piston was probaly stick to the cylinder and when you where pop starting it , it was ripping the piston through the cylinder. so all the oil is goin though the overflow into the airbox

i doubt it because if it was just to much oil in the bike it would run fine

Piston and rings took a crap on you, time to break it apart and replace them.

mine did the same thing, how old is your bike? suzuki took care of mine all $1700 of it. the piston rings were not set properly from the factory. wore a real smooth ripple in the cylinder:ermm: thank god for warrenty

it was a 06 but it happened about 4-5 months into it. did you just get it as a left over being that its 2009 now? the dealer and suzuki should stand by it if they determine its there fault.

Top end is shot. Had the same thing happen to me in one of my races. Make sure you get the newer 08 style piston.

Well I don't think Suzuki is going to cover it because I bought it the day it hit dealers. I guess I am just going to have to fix it myself. Anybody got any recommendations for a good new piston? I want a higher compression then stock but I don't want to have to run race gas its way to expensive for me.

I personally am a CP piston fan, i believe you can go to about 13:1 without using race gas. Also im pretty sure ATP Racing Engines has a cylinder replacement system where you just send in your jug and money and they send you a new jug.

I just put in a CP 13:1 with a Hotcam intake cam. Night and day difference over the stocker, the power is gnarly. You can also do it yourself if you are even a slightly decent mechanic, not saying that I am though.

you need to run 50/50 93 with race gas. in my practice bike i just run 93 and c12 mix. but in my race bike i run mr9. practice bike is 13.5.1 race bike is 14.75.1.......your also not gana get everything out of the piston with just pump gas
