Anyone ever have a gas KNOCK from running 87ish octane gas, but have it stop when you moved up to around 93 octane?

Yes!! don't run 87 octain.. my 400 does'nt even want to run on that ****!!.run 93 I think it's better for the motor.makes mine run alot better...

yes mine knocks bad and it makes like a humming noise to. but i use 100% oct. and it runs alot better. id spend the extra money for the good stuff

Was it like a humming noise when you reved it? What do you mean by 100% octane? Did the knock stop?

i never tried 87 but i always run 93 octane

Read your owners manual, It will tell you not to run anything less than 92 octane. Personally i run 94 from sunoco. My baby likes that.:D

Is there a difference between Sunoco gaas and gas from other gas stations? Thanks!
i think sunoco gas rules...ppl say i need 100 octane for my raptor i run 94 from sunoco it runs great..that stuff smelles like rase gas too

I like it better, there is no difference between the gases I think but sunoco is the only one that offers 94 octane, the rest are 93 and below. I dont like gulf though, they just seem so dirty.
