LTZ 400 white smoke from exhaust

Ya hey there my friend has an LTZ 400 and it has been smoking white smoke out the exhaust until it warms up. I know white smoke generaly means coolant is being burned. Is this a possible head gasket issue??

That is not exactly true. Why would it only smoke when its warming up? Has he rejetted it lately????

I would say antifreeze. it is probably not as visible when warm because it is being vaporized more. It the coolant level dropping?

Ahhh yes I forgot to mention that it is loosing coolant somewhere... he has to top it up every other day. Im pretty sure that it is burning it, just not sure how it would get in. I'm used to my straight forward air cooled 400ex.
