250X rebuild help needed

Ok, I am rebuilding my 87 250X after a cam bearing failure destroyed the stock cam, rockers, piston... I have the engine apart getting ready to install a stage 1 hot cam, piston... I am looking for a Weisco 12:1 piston, but have had no luck finding one. I also need stock rockers.

I have heard that 300ex heads and pistons will bolt directly up to the 250x. Is this correct?

Any help with the Weisco piston and 300ex parts on the 250x is GREATLY appreciated.

i dont know about the piston fitting but i have a 250x head on my 300ex cylinder and bottom end

The 300EX motor is basically the same as the 250X except the size of the cylinder and piston and that the 250x is kick and 300 is e start. I have a 250X Jug and head on my motor and it works great. As for Wiseco Pistons Go to Dennis Kirk, there great and have cheap fast shipping. You can put a 300EX head on it you just wont have compression release which you really dont need. I converted my 300 into a kicker and have taken off the compression realease. I hope this helps.

the top ends of the two motors are the same but the bottom ends are different, so far the only things that i know are different are the sprocket shaft and the crankshaft, because i have tried to put a 300 crank in my previos motor which was a 250x and i have tried to put a 250x sprocket shaft in my 300ex motor and it was two small. if those parts are different im sure other parts in the bottom end are different also.

Thank you so much guys, this helped ALOT!! Now I just have to find a head and rockers. I ordered a Wiseco piston. Anyone have a good head and rockers or know where any are?

Look on ebay for the head and rockers i found a whole top end for like 70 bucks i bought a good head for 150 that was ported and polished. So just look on there.
