I had the rear end of my quad lifted off the ground to clean and lube the chain. While i was rotating the rear wheels to access the whole chain, i noticed there was something roling around inside the tires. Anyone know what is inside them? Could rocks have gotten in there somehow? seems unlikely

theres no way rocks got in there, its small pieces of rubber that break off on the inside of the tires

MY COUSIN HAD THE SAME NOISE. HE HAD ROCKS IN HIS TIRE. NO FLATS, NO HOLES ONLY THING WE COULD THINK IS WHEN SLIDING IN A CURVE THEY SLIDE BETWEEN THE RIM AND TIRE. ONE OTHER THING HOW AND WHERE DO PIECES OF RUBBER COME FROM INSIDE A TIRE. JUST MY EXPERIENCE.:D

it's rubbre balls-
sometimes it's rocks' mainlt rubber though
it just peals off and bounces around ,gets a little warm- sticks together makes a ball-
i'm sure a little pepple or 2 could squeeze between your rim and tire though- i remember once a long time ago in a galaxy far far away- kidding- nah i remember a wile back my dad was changin' his tires on his truck,, took the tire off the rim and there was a screwdriver in the tire- i't had been in there since he put them on the rim- kinda crazy- he'd been looking for that driver for a long time- not you raverage screw driver either this thing was like 14" long- one 'nem' big daddy screw driver's-

-------idiot question of the day------
ever wonder what it's like to be one of those little rubber balls bouncin around in your tire- you'd be dizzy

rubber balls?
Well I took my stock back tires off and it was little dirt balls I got in there from cornering on dirt. Im sure if you take your tires off you will find the same thing

Yep, it's rubber balls. This is more evident in Radials because of the excessive sidewall flex. You find all kinds of weird stuff in tires when you take 'em off. I found a 10 inch long stick once (I must have patched the hole after the stick fell in), and my friend had huge aluminum spike in his. It gouged a deep scratch into his rim.

I also had that little rubber balls in my tires. I have been told it is common.

It's not rubber balls for everyone, BTW how would you know its rubber balls if you never took your tires off your rims? I know for a fact that it was balls of rolled up dirt in mine, because I took the stock tires off the rims and this is what I found.
