IM debating what kind of intake to put on it, Ive already put the full system on and a pc 3 and still not impressed in the gains. what do you guys think, I really dont wanna drop 350 fuel atv intake.
Also, as of now I got the k&n filter with drycharger, Im thinking about ripping out the netting thats in the stock airbox

dont do anything that might hurt the motor(because of sucked in dirt and debris)
save for a fuelcustoms intake or fuel atv's. even if you dont have alot to drop on an intake go with the eliminator kit from either company. its cheaper and produces alot more power. You just have to keep an eye on cleaning and oiling the filter very often.

problem with the kawasaki is the intake design. its absolutely terrible. drop the stock intake and getting any intake that replaces the intake tube and you will notice giant gains(after remapping appropriatley).
More air=moregas which = more power ;)

I been looking at this bcs intake for the 450's, what do you think of it, fci, fuelatv, and bcs all look the same.

bcs i havent heard much of. im sure you will feel a big gani out of it too. like i said, ANYTHING that replaces the stock intake tube will give giant gains along with a pipe and pc3.

FCI is hands down the best intake i have seen. I am pretty sure it makes almost the same power with or without the box. Maybe minimal gains but if your doing anything other then dunes a box is a huge advantage!

all from what ive read, fuelatv is supposed to be the best is what ive gathered, I guess personal preference.

fuel customs intake is now the best intake out(power wise).

Velocity is amazing.. i can only say this as the first intake i tried.. im unfamiliar with other models..It had massive night and day differences when i installed it along with a tune and juice box.. already had a full system... main problem as stated in prior post , gotta keep it clean , and ridin through water and mudd , not such a good idea with velocity even if you have the filter cover. but i feel well worth the 100 bucks i spent on it

ok why though? heard twenty people say that but have yet to make a valid reason behind it except dirt and having to keep the filter clean

Because the velocity let too much dirt in and ruined my rings and piston. It doesn't seal good at all where the rubber boot meets the intake tube.

The KFX needs a better intake for certain.
You can hear it... lid on and lid off.
It's pretty darn obvious to me.
However, so far I just am not comfortable with any of the intakes out for it. They look fine for a duner... but not an XC machine that sees water crossings, mud, and fine particulate dust.
I don't want my engine breathing in any of that stuff.

well i mainly ride Mx.. what about those filter socks that cover it ..does that help at all for basic dust. the majority of intakes i have seen will allow more dust flow then the factory set up.

Get the FCI, hands down the best intake for the kfx, you'll make some huge power gains and its cheaper than the Fuel ATV one.
