450R shocks mod for a trail rider?

Alrighty, so I mostly ride trails, they are pretty rocky, kinda rutty, and bumpy and such...

Would you guys recommend getting some 450R shocks for this style of riding?

I read somewhere that they dont do much for trail riding... is this true?

unless you ride fast and hard through the rough already they probably won't do much without having them revalved cause they are pretty stiff straight from a 450r

What about revalving the stockers?

You can't revalve the stockers (plus it still wouldn't be worth it). I would tend to disagree a little bit that you wouldn't notice a difference for trail riding with the 450 shocks. If you only have a couple hundred to spend on suspension, then they are an excellent upgrade to the junk shocks on the 400.
