Can anyone with a work manual scan a page or two about reassembling the top end. Mainly torque specs and how to time the cams. I can't locate a marking to find TDC.

Nice, they want you to use a timing device and there is no marking for the crankshaft to be set at tdc.

Dont see why you need the device. At TDC line up EX and IN right?

Get the manual at the dealer.

Yeah, you just line them up, you don't need thwe guide. I don't see how to find true TDC though.

I'm pretty sure this engine has a spot to install a crank locking bolt which will hold it at TDC for you. I haven't had to use it yet on my 450 but I have done a bunch of work on the DS650 motor which uses the same lock bolt. I know I read somewhere that the 450 is the same way.

You would have to disassemble the clutch side of the motor for that wouldn't you?

Right below the water pump behind the clutch there is a case access screw you remove you rotate the tires/crank CW, using a screwdriver to feel when the crank is aligned with the hole and lock it in place...theres a BRP locking tool but I would think a screwdriver will work as long as the crank does not rotate w/ it in.

I can scan in the sheets tonights if you need them but it will cost you two Premium Cohiba cigars since you didn't say thank you for the first two. :huh
