Hey all looking for some advice.... I threw a timing chain at Krash Racing Dirt Park in New Lexington Ohio at the district 11 race march 28. Everyone is saying it is going to be all bad $1000 problem or so. It was before it died a 416 11.5-1 wiseco piston, stage 2 hotcam, and a t4 procircuit pipe.

What I would like to know is if the motor is trashed what is the extent of the damage and what are your opinions on what should be done next.. Please help me out.

Thanks all for your help......

I snapped one on my 400 but got lucky and the piston didnt hit the valves. I just replaced the chain and was good to go. u wont no until u tear it apart to see.

chances are even if your piston did make contact with the valves they will just be bent and hopefully not broke off. you'll just have to buy new valves and get the seats re-cut. If the valve were to break you might be lookin at more damage.
