well my son and i got out this past weekend and go tto break in our new susensions and motor on some motocross. it was awsome unitll my clutch gave up but my sons ran awsome and handled great. after practice my son was asking for more gear beacuse the track was so big. On my quad the track is a primarily 4 gear track. all the jumps are big table tops so my son was trying to air it out. here are some pics.

Sweet pics! Well, all but the last five. They're all the same lol. Looks like you and the lil one had a blast. Does he like MX now and how did he do?

I finally got a new bottom end and put the cylinder and head off of his old motor onto this one. Had a few problems and didn't think I'd get to take him to the race tonite. Finally got everything done around 4:30 for a race that starts at 6:30. He loves this new Manual shift motor and he rode it better than he did the semi auto setup.

i must have missed it, what kind of motor did you get or just a new bottom end?

It's the same jailing bottom end but it's a manual shift. All of the internals are the same except for the shift shaft and crank. The cranks on the semi auto (Typhoon motors) snap because of too much weight from the flywheel and centrifugal clutch on the other side. Those are eliminated with the motor I have now which in turn makes the motor spool up way faster. The tranny on the motor with the broken crank still looks brand new after a year and 7 months for hard riding. So the trannies are very strong. When the crank snaps on the semi auto motor stay with the jailing bottom end but go to a manual shift setup. Use the old broke motor for parts. GPX, YX, KRP, OGM, and EVOS are all the Jailing motors with their names/logos engraved on the side covers. Here's a tricked out motor with the Jailing bottom end on ebay. Read about how strong the trannies are on these motors in the link below. The difference is that this one uses a KLX head that won't mount the Typhoon or Honda style pipe. Lifan heads mount to the Honda style pipes and is what we're running. The KLX of course mounts Kawi exhaust.

We're running this exact setup with a few more tricks added but with a VM26 Mikuni carb, a Lifan head, and the motor is not beefed up to 160cc's.

He hasn't stopped asking me when the next race is so ya I think he likes it. He did really well. He was hitting all the jumps and haveing fun. The other mini that was there was a polaris predator 90. It was no match for the beast I built my son.
