Well today my buddy got a flat on the front of his 400ex, we spent 3 hrs and finally we broke both beads, is there a trick that I am not aware of, whew! what a job.

Will look into the JL bead breaker, I have the NO MAR machine and there is no way without a struggle and a special wooden block I had to make to hold the bar in place without slipping back, it was a pain with out the right tool, but I will be ready next time

Place a 4x4 wooden block on the tire next to the rim and drive your truck up on it. Cheap and it works. I use an atv bead breaker now similar to the JL one.

I am hearing quite a bit about the J&L bead breaker, does it have jaw protection so it won't damage or scratch the rims. ect.might have to get one

if they were stock tires they are a pain to break the bead they like glue them on from the factory. The block running over method is the way to go unless you have one of those tire changer machines.

I use a bit of painters tape on the rolled bead rims to help protect them.....no issues yet.
