I use 15/38 with 18" rears. I also used it when i had a 416 and liked it.

thanks drew...right now i'm running 13 front and i think 39 rear. i just feels like my gears are way too short and my top speed feels like it's only 45 or something.

i don't like riding mx in 4th... i might try going back up to a 14 front and seeing what happens

I am running stock 15/38. I like it but I would like to try maybe a 36 or 37 rear. I think it might give me a little more pickup in power in tight jump sections. I had a 14 front and it seem like it top out to soon.

15/38 will have better pickup for tight sections than 36 or 37. You would be changing to "taller" gearing if you did that. You might want to try 15/39 instead but not a huge difference. I like 16/39 myself with 18" rears, but the stroker motor can pull and make use of the big 16T front better than less-modded motors.

yeah, your right. that would be going higher with the gearing. I guess I would need more like a 39 or 40 tooth rear.

Yeah a 40 tooth rear would be better if you could find one. Going up one tooth to a 39 almost isn't worth it, but 2 teeth to a 40 should make a noticeable difference for what you are looking for :)

I think I am going to try that, cause my stock ones about wore out any ways. Thanks!
