Well my season is shot. I was planning on hitting some local cross country races (had even looked in to hosting one on my property) until I tried to cut my arm off! I was cutting insulation with a three inch razor blade and slipped. Took my inside fore arm to the bone wednesday night. Come to find out I cut two main nerves which hold sensory and motor functions. So in order to move my fingers and feel with my fingers again I have to have surgery which could take up to full year to fully recover!!!!!! Looks like good therapy will be building my machine into a 460!!

That sucks, but you could probably still host the race and at least have your hand in some type of racing this season.:D

I will still continue to see if any local chapters are looking for a owner to host. I think it would be a lot of fun. I was looking forward to spring and riding so bad and bam no riding for at least 2 months after my surgery on monday.

Well thats not to bad, I thought you were going to be out for a year

Its two months of immobilization and several months of therapy. Doctor says it will take a year to be 100% so I will be able to ride this year but it will be taking it very easy. No competition this year. The weirdest part of the whole thing is not being able to feel anything or move my fingers, bur my thumb is perfect.
When it happened I was thinking that I will be able to ride after 10 days when my stitches came out but that was before I met with a hand and nerve specialist.

I think it would be really cool hosting an event because I am thinking I would get plenty of help improving the decent track I have now. I just need to find out what my insurance guy has to say.

Its soar. I am so bored sitting around doing nothing but playing on the net and taking huge quantities of vicadin to get me through the pain.
Its driving my wife nuts because so far I have bought:

A-Arm Guards
Pro-Armor Kill Switch
New Bars
CNC Stabilizer

I am dangerous on Ebay when I am cooped up.

Thanks for asking,
Ted

well at least you are buying the small stuff not the whole machines. LOL I say buy till you can't stand sitting there trying to outbid someone with 4 seconds to go. you can only wait so long before buy it now takes over your head. good to hear you are getting better alittle pain really sucks when it like your wound. LOL, steve

don't take too much hydrocodone at once, it's very bad for your liver in large quantites.

Well got my first cast off and quite a few stitches out. Cant wait to get the use of my hand back!!! Not trying to post a gross pic but it did surprise me how bad my arm turned out considering I never saw the area after surgery.
