250r Build up

I recently bought my first TRX250r and have many question on how to go about the build. It is an 87 with an fmf pipe and silencer, foam filter with holes on top of the lid. I would like to upgrade my A-arms to +2 and a longer axle but don't know would be the best bet as well as reasonably priced. Shocks would definately need to be upgraded. So here is my question, regarding engine size and who builds it, what would you guys reccomend? I plan to use this bike for dunes, trails and the occational grand prix.

Also, I read about these bikes having a key and or kill switch, my bike has none. Best way to fix this?

Put a tether type kill switch on it. If your gonna run Grand Prix then it will be mandatory anyway.

Thanks sounds good. I was looking at the quad and noticed part of the electrical cable was spliced into. It's towards the top of the steering stem. I'm assuming this bike came with a key switch or kill switch. The more I look the more surprises I find.
