yes ive posted in suspension forum and no replies so im postin here since my bike is a yfz

i just had my front axis shocks rebuilt and it seems to sit a little higher than it did b4 in the front and when i adjust the preload to lower it down wont do me any good it hits bottom out bumpers when coming down off jumps. my frame dosent smack the ground or anything. when i have it setup like b4 it wont bottom on the bumpers

my ride height with me on the bike is 8-1/2 inches behind the pegs and 9 inches from bottom back a-arm bolt, thats with shocks setup like before i had them serviced

my rear shock is stock and stock settings i havent messed with it none because it seemed to be pretty good considering i dont bottom it when landing

If you are racing mx then the ride height is to high. For mx your ride height should be around 7" with you on it. As you lower the ride height the shocks will compress making the suspension stiffer. Let me know if this helps.

on my axis shocks the preload is what raises and lowers ride height and when i lower my ride height it dosent make them stiffer it actually takes more compression off the springs

adjust the springs... move the clip up a few notches and thatll bring the front end down..

depends on when you ride... if your frame isnt rubbing the ground id leave it.. id rather have a sit a tad higher than a frame that rubs the ground

i have moved them up and down and its on the 2nd grove from the top right now and sits about right but not as low as i like it but when i ride it they are softer than i prefer, i want them stiffer but lower i cant find any used springs for axis or id bump them up to about 325 or 300lb springs they have 250's right now and i think 700lb or something like that tendersprings. they have the green and black marks on them
