I installed my new factory plastic last night and I noticed that even upon rubbing it the plastic gets mild scratches in it. WTF? The woods are going to murder this stuff. Anyway, what do you guys use to keep it shiny? Wax? Armor all? WD-40?

There is some stuff called son of a gun protectant that is made by stp, it comes in a yellow squirt bottle, i have spent around 100 bucks trying out different stuff on my plastics and it works better than armorall on red plastics...i am still trying to figure out what to use on my black plastics lol. But that is ur best bet if you have red plastics, i heard about mop and glow too, you could try it.

I use pledge furniture polish. I learned about this stuff from LRD's website and a friend. It really makes the plastic shine and doesn't leave a residue or make the plastic staticky so it collects dust like other products. It makes the plastic much deeper, darker, and shinier. It also hides those scratch marks on the side panels where your boots rub.

It is pledge furniture polish and I use the one in the yellow can because it seems to work the best. Most of you guys probably have it at home or your mom/wife does. I apply it after every time I wash the quads or whenever the plastics look dull again.

It doesn't last as long as armorall does but the better qualities of it are worth it to me.

I just use wax. Nothing fancy, no tricks. Just wax.

I tried Armor All, Formula 2001, automotive wax and Pledge now. I used them on different spots of the quad to see what was the best. In the end, the wax won. It left the plastic very slippery and gave it the most shine. Thanks for the help guys.

i use this brown goopy stuff -- mud. It goes on and sticks well. it adds a good layer of protection from stray branches. When i want to impress people with a nice clean quad i just use a powerwasher and keep it wet. as soon as the quad dries, the mud comes back.

Best trick is to not use a sponge to wash it. Use simple green. Hose off the big chunks, spray everything with a mix of 1 part SG and one part water. Spray off with hose. My bike is 1.5 years old, and the plastic still looks awsome...except for where those dang boots rub...
