My borther and I both have 05 trx 405r. My problem is we installed a motoworks sr4 slip on and installed a 175 jet from the dyno stage1andstage 2 jet kit. It runs good until it starts reaching a high rpm. tried the 116 jet from the stage one side of the kit and it wont even hardly pull itself. so we tried the 180 from the stage 2 side of the kit and does the same thing as the 175jet. Any suggestestion would be greatly appreciated.

Did you install the dyno jet needle as well?

yeah i installed the needle on the #3 clip. It runs great up to a high rpm then it starts cuttin out. between the 180 and the 116 and 175 jets the 175 runs the best i havent tried any other jets yet. the main jet adapter broke on me that came with the kit so when i get that in i think i am gonna try the 165 jet. what u think?

throw away the dynojet main jets , get u a keihin 180 185 190 mainjets and start with the 185..

If the air box lid is removed then slap in a 165 dynojet.
Its equal to about a 185 Keihin. Should be a little closer.

175-180 dyno jet is equal to about a 195-200 Keihin mainjet, way too rich for your setup.

thanks for the input dktrix, but if he still looking for a jet.. most local shops keep keihin main jets:)

thanks for all the info. This particular atv is my brothers. When i do mine i will prob not ust the dynojet mains. I pretty much do all the work to them so i appreciate the help and all the info!

Hey guys. My part finally came in and i tried the dyno 165 and 160 and bothe start missin just a little before the rev limiter. When u asked if my needle was on the third clip u did mean third clip from the top of the needle right? what u think maybe a 155 the 160 seemed a llittle closer than the 165. ?

well i think i got it. I put a 155 jet in it from the dyno jet kit. slow riding or running wide open it runs great. They only thing it when in netrual i can rev it and hit the rev limiter and it sounds awful when it hit the limiter unlike my stock 05 it is alot smoother at rev limiter. Oh and what is this green wire mod i keep hearin about

The green wire mod is for the 06+ bikes only.
